Curso preparatório para C2 Proficiency
DESCRIPTION:
This 36-hour course focuses on the language skills required for the C2 Proficiency examination - formerly known as Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE). Students who are ready for this level will have the opportunity to prepare for the highest-level exam from Cambridge English qualifications practising the language necessary for all parts of the exam (Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening and Speaking). Feedback will be given on learners’ progress throughout the course and strategies will be provided to enhance learner confidence.
The course adopts an eclectic approach to cater for students´ needs. The focus will be on practising the 4 different papers of the C2 Proficiency examination and offering guided practice to acquire a solid command of grammar and vocabulary and to master their communicative skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking.

Classroom studies will be supported by guided homework and self-study throughout the course. Full mock tests will be given on a regular basis so that students will know exactly what the examination entails, boosting their confidence to sit the exam in the future. Material will be provided throughout the course.
The tutor
Jane Godwin Coury has been working as an English teacher and teacher educator in Brazil since 1994. Originally from the UK, she also has taught English in the UK, France, Germany and the USA. Jane has vast experience in preparing students for Cambridge English qualifications. She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Leicester and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from PUC. She is author of various publications for English teachers including Exercícios para falar melhor em inglês (Disal). Jane is also an English language editor and translator. She currently teaches on the postgraduate programs in English Language Teaching and Translation offered by Cursos Cult.

Caso algum candidato não tiver ainda o nível de conhecimento de língua inglesa necessário para realizar o curso, o valor da pré-inscrição não será devolvido.
