Five steps to improving your connected speech in English
Description:
In this workshop, you will understand and practice five different aspects of English connected speech that are essential for clear, natural speaking. The discussions and practice tasks throughout the session will help your brain not only polish your good pronunciation even more but also improve your listening by making you better able to distinguish connected speech sounds and decode them back into their separate words in your mind. Come to this session, participate actively, and you will leave it feeling an immediate difference in your pronunciation mindset.
Remember: for this special workshop, you will need a good microphone and a working camera turned ON all the time.
Enrolment requirement: Students must have at least level B2 of English.
Teacher:
Elcio Souza has a B.A. in Translation and Interpreting, a B.A. in TEFL, and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from UNICAMP. He also holds an overarching DELTA from Cambridge University. His 31-year teaching experience includes students of all ages and levels at language institutes, regular schools and universities at both undergrad and graduate programs. Elcio has presented several lectures and workshops for teachers in Brazil and abroad. As an ELT-Pronunciation master coach, Elcio has been training in-service teachers, coordinators, and teacher trainers for 20 years. He currently tutors Pronunciation, CELTA, and other teacher education courses in Brazil.
