Therefore, the skills taught in this course for working both creatively and effectively with few materials are valuable for all teachers.  

Learning Objectives
 

When you graduate, you’ll be able to:

• Reflect on how the fundamental principles of effective language teaching can be adhered to, regardless of technological or pedagogical resources.

• Gain an awareness of what is important for learning to take place, with a focus on pedagogy first, resources second.

• Explore the different resources that are readily available and low-cost, and that can be used to achieve the desired learning outcomes.

• Select appropriate resources for teaching the four skills at different student age and proficiency levels.

• Design an English language lesson using one of the resources explored in the course.

Requirements to take this course:

 

• 18 years of age.

• An intermediate or higher level of English proficiency (B1 level, according to the CEFR, the Common European Framework Reference for Language).

• Teaching experience or a general TEFL/TESOL certificate (recommended).
